Can a trucking, freight or logistics company sell its data to AI companies, and who buys it?

Quick answer, updated

8 of the 51 buyers in the index name logistics records in their own words: dispatch and delivery records, rate quotes, load records, fulfillment events, supply-chain records and the invoices and claims email around them. Telegraph Lab and Regulr show the same $650K freight broker deal, and AI Training Data Broker publishes a sample lab request for a 70-person freight brokerage with nine years on one TMS. Driver and customer personal data and counterparties’ rates come out before anything is licensed.

Who names logistics records

8 buyers in the index name dispatch, freight, load, delivery, warehouse or supply-chain records on their own pages. The table comes straight from the index and changes when a row does.

Montlake Licensing names dispatch and delivery records with quotes, invoices and service history. Corpus Bridge names invoices, orders, ERP and logistics records. Sell Business Data names orders, invoices, fulfillment events, customer history, logistics data and supplier information. Databounties names supply-chain records with maintenance records and insurance and claims data. AI Training Data Broker publishes a sample lab request for a freight brokerage with 70 staff and nine years on one TMS, about 800 GB of dispatch chat, rate quotes, load records, invoices and claims email with outcomes recorded; a sample request is what the broker says labs ask for, not a deal.

What the records look like to a buyer

The value buyers describe is the trail from quote to delivery and what went wrong on the way: the rate quoted and the rate accepted, the dispatch thread, the load record, the delivery confirmation or the exception, the invoice, and the claims correspondence with its outcome. A carrier’s maintenance logs and equipment records belong to the same trail; SuperAnnotate names equipment logs and claims files. Nine years on one TMS is worth more than three systems in nine years, because the records connect.

Rules that apply

  • Size and years. Handshake AI asks for 20+ full-time employees and 3+ years, AI Training Data Broker for 30+ full-time employees and 3+ years on the same tools. The size guide lists every published minimum.
  • Country and language. Montlake Licensing takes US firms only. AI Training Data Broker takes the US first, then the UK, Canada and Australia, and asks for data in English. Databounties takes US and UK companies with 11 or more employees. The geography guide has the rest.

What has to stay out

Driver personal data, including hours and location records tied to a person; shipper and consignee contact details; and counterparties’ rates and contract terms where your agreements treat them as confidential. Every published program licenses a de-identified copy, and Mercor, Appen and Centific say they do that work at no cost to the company. We flag the confidentiality question before any introduction.

What buyers publish about money

Published figures are the companies’ own claims, not offers. Handshake AI publishes $100K to $4M+ across industries, Montlake Licensing a $500K to $2.6M headline estimate that it says is not an offer, and AI Training Data Broker says labs pay $100,000 to $2 million while its terms call every figure a reference. The published range guide lists every figure.

Next step

The free value check compares the buyers that fit your company on size, country and the records you hold, names the consent step up front, and introduces you only with your approval. If you already hold an offer, the free offer review reads its exclusivity, payment and de-identification clauses against what the buyer publishes. The data type guide lists every buyer by the records it names.

Frequently asked questions

Can a freight broker sell its data?

The buyers that name logistics records say so. AI Training Data Broker publishes a sample lab request for a freight brokerage with 70 staff and nine years on one TMS: dispatch chat, rate quotes, load records, invoices and claims email, with outcomes recorded. Montlake Licensing names dispatch and delivery records, and Corpus Bridge names ERP and logistics records.

What logistics records do AI buyers describe wanting?

The trail from quote to delivery: rate quotes and what was accepted, dispatch messages and load records, delivery confirmations and exceptions, invoices, and claims correspondence with the outcome. Sell Business Data names orders, invoices, fulfillment events, customer history, logistics data and supplier information; Databounties names supply-chain records; SuperAnnotate names claims files and equipment logs.

Does a trucking company's data have to be in English?

AI Training Data Broker asks for data in English, and micro1 asks for English data. Most other buyers publish no language rule. A carrier operating in Spanish or French should ask before applying.

How much do buyers say they pay a logistics company?

Telegraph Lab lists a $650K deal for a 100-person freight broker; Regulr shows the same figure and says its examples have not been independently verified. Count it once. Across industries, Handshake AI publishes $100K to $4M+, Montlake Licensing a $500K to $2.6M headline estimate that is not an offer, and AI Training Data Broker says labs pay $100,000 to $2 million.

What has to stay out of logistics data?

Driver personal data, including location and hours records tied to a person; customer and shipper contact details; and counterparties’ rates and contract terms that your agreements treat as confidential. Every published program licenses a de-identified copy, and several buyers do that work themselves. We flag the confidentiality question before any introduction.
